In the tour, Afro-German art historian Tanja-Bianca Schmidt follows the traces of black histor(ies) in BERLIN GLOBAL. In dialogue with the participants, she talks about black activists and feminist voices as well as depictions of black bodies in the media. She also addresses subjects such as the repatriation of the Benin bronzes or the life of black people in the GDR.  In doing so, she establishes connections between Germany’s colonial history and the present day.
