How can history and architecture be vividly communicated? How can the lifeworld of children and young people be included and their desire to explore be encouraged? Combined with a tour of the Humboldt Forum, you will learn about playful-performative approaches as well as methods of inquiry-based learning, try out materials that can be used in mediation work, and receive suggestions for dealing with architecture, urban space, and history in the classroom.

This advanced training course is certifiable by the Berlin Senate. Registration is only possible for teachers from Berlin at the following link:

Organisational information

  • Recommendation to wear a mask

Visitors aged 6 and over are recommended to wear an FFP2 or medical face mask in all interior rooms of the Humboldt Forum. Unless otherwise stated, this also applies to guided tours and events. For your own safety and the safety of your children, we recommend that all age groups take a rapid antigen test before visiting the Humboldt Forum.

  • Still together against Corona

As a precaution, we are continuing some efficient and proven measures at the Humboldt Forum in order to be able to guarantee basic protection for all visitors and staff. We regularly check the current infection situation and will adapt our in-house measures accordingly.

  • Meeting point & time

The meeting point for guided tours and the location for workshops can be found on your booking confirmation. In order for the tour to begin punctually, please arrive 15 minutes before the programme is due to start. We ask that you allow for this additional quarter hour when planning your visit.
