Maintenance work
For your planning purposes, we would like to inform you about upcoming maintenance work at the Humboldt Forum, some of which will result in short-term closures of exhibition areas.
From Wednesday, 18 February to May 2026, maintenance work will be carried out in various sections.
Foyer
During the first phase, from Wednesday, 18 February to Monday, 9 March 2026, the foyer will be closed.
The Palace Cellar and the Place of warmth will be closed. Access via Portal 3 will not be possible. You can reach our building and all exhibitions via the passageway. Here you will also find the ticket counter, the information desk and the meeting points for guided tours. Please note the alternative route.
Palace Cellar
From Wednesday, 18 February to Monday, 9 March 2026, the Palace Cellar will be closed due to maintenance work.
Maintenance work in the Museum für Asiatische Kunst (3rd floor)
From Monday, 23 March to Friday, 27 March 2026 inclusive and
from Monday, 27 April to Thursday, 30 April 2026 inclusive, the exhibition areas on the 3rd floor will be closed.
Maintenance work in the Ethnologisches Museum (2nd floor)
From Monday, 13 April to Friday, 17 April 2026 inclusive and
from Monday, 20 April to Friday, 24 April 2026 inclusive, the exhibition areas on the 2nd floor will be closed.
Maintenance work BERLIN GLOBAL and On Water (1st floor)
The dates for maintenance work in the Berlin Global and On Water exhibitions have not yet been finalised. We will keep you informed on this page.
