How does a fish swarm actually work? How can you reconstruct an entire prehistoric animal from a fossilized footprint? What does science have to do with our own lives? Questions like these can be discovered in the exhibition After Nature in the Humboldt Laboratory.

The interactive guided tour is aimed at families with children aged 8 and older.

Practical info

  • Meeting point & time

The meeting point for guided tours and the location for workshops can be found on your booking confirmation. In order for the tour to begin punctually, please arrive 15 minutes before the programme is due to start. We ask that you allow for this additional quarter hour when planning your visit.

  • Group size

Please be aware that Berlin Covid-19 containment regulations restrict capacity of group tours to a maximum of 15 persons, depending on the event format. Please also observe our current hygiene rules.

  • 2G for exhibitions and 2G-Plus for guided tours & events

Please note that in accordance with the adaptation of the State of Berlin on the measures to contain the Corona pandemic, the 2G rule is applied for visiting the Humboldt Forum. The rule generally applies to entering the building and visiting exhibitions. Valid vaccination certificates or convalescence certificates must be presented digitally or in paper form as proof. Please note the information on this page about the mask requirement.

Please note the special safety guidelines for visiting the exhibition Have a seat!

The 2G-Plus regulation applies to guided tours and events. This means, a current antigen rapid test (not older than 24 hours) or a booster vaccination must also be shown at the group meeting points and before the event rooms.

    Exceptions
Children up to and including the age of 5 are exempt from the 2G or 2G-Plus requirement, and outside school holidays children and young people up to and including the age of 17 are exempt on presentation of their school ID or BVG ticket. During school holidays, children and young people up to and including 17 years of age must show a valid vaccination, convalescence or test certificate (not older than 24 hours) in addition to their school ID.

Unvaccinated visitors with a medical certificate are also exempt. In this case, a valid negative PCR test form, not older than 24 hours, must be presented in addition to the certificate.

For your own safety and the safety of your children, we strongly recommend that all age groups take a rapid antigen test and use the Corona contact tracing app available in the entrance areas before visiting the Humboldt Forum.

We ask for your understanding that there may be waiting times in the entrance areas of the Passage and in Portal 3. Please allow sufficient time and have your ticket, proof of identity and photo ID ready for inspection.

Central information from the Berlin administration on the coronavirus can be found here.

  • Face coverings

Wearing an FFP2 mask is compulsory in all indoor areas of the Humboldt Forum for persons over the age of 14. Please bring your mask with you. Medical masks are sufficient for children from the age of 6 to the age of 14, but we recommend an FFP2 mask. Deaf people and their accompanying persons are exempt from the mask requirement. If wearing a mask is not possible due to health restrictions (e.g. asthma, severe lung diseases, etc.), a medical certificate must be carried and a current result (not older than 24 hours) of an antigen test must be shown. We draw your attention to the increased risk of infection.
