The search for water in space fascinates more than just the scientific community. Space probes have discovered ice, vapor, and water-bearing rocks, yet liquid water remains difficult to detect beyond Earth. At the same time, every discovery of water in space sparks the human imagination: from ocean planets and extraterrestrial aquatic life to the question of the origin of life. But looking into the distance also brings the obvious into focus: the vulnerability of life on Earth.

We’ll explore this fascination with water and life in space during the Long Night of Museums, with lectures, virtual reality stations in the exhibition, and a comic workshop.
