Writer and historian Annett Gröschner is best known for her novels and Berlin texts.

Her books have been described as ‘travel guides through the East’. Gröschner herself as a ‘walker in the spirit of Theodor Fontane’.

For her book ‘Drei ostdeutsche Frauen betrinken sich und gründen den idealen Staat’, the Magdeburg-born author spent seven nights talking and drinking.

Most recently, Gröschner’s novel ‘Schwebende Lasten’ was published. This tells the story of a flower arranger and crane driver in her home town.
